How much does a new logo design cost?

I am ballparking around $400-$500. It’s a rough estimate that we usually stay under. However, no two logos are exactly alike, thus the price of a new logo can vary. Ask any designer, and they will tell you a horror story of a client that was a nightmare to design a logo for, and how they got paid in peanuts. The cost of a logo varies incredibly from one designer to the next, mostly depending on how badly they have been burned in the past. Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you get less than what you thought you paid for, and sometimes you get more.

Where in the nursery rhyme does it say Humpty Dumpty is an egg?

This is believed to be more of a riddle than a children’s nursery rhyme. Humpty Dumpty was first illustrated as an egg sitting on a wall in the 1871 novel, “Through the Looking Glass,” written by Lewis Carroll and Illustrated by John Tenniel. Also, Humpty Dumpty is 18th century slang for a short and clumsy person.

Do the minutes on the movie boxes include the previews, credits, and special features, or just the movie itself?

Just the feature and it’s credits, not the previews.

If a person owns a piece of land, do they own it all the way down to the center of the earth?

Ever since the times of the Roman Empire, land was deeded all the way down to the center of the Earth, and upwards all the way into the heavens.

Who will own the rights to my final design.

You. Some agencies charge high release fees for final artwork. Not here. Your final designs will be your own intellectual property. Final files will be provided in all of the correct formats that you require. All contracts are very easy to understand, and if your company requires a Non-Disclosure Agreement to be signed prior to a project, you can easily upload your NDA here.

What if I’m still not happy with the design?

Sometimes we hit it out of the park on the first swing, sometimes it can take a number of discussions and revisions before a client is happy with the concept. At the end of it all, know you will walk away feeling satisfied and assured that we have put out a job to our highest standards within the confines of the timescale, brief and budget provided.

Our simple scope and scale questionnaires help in the process, by ensuring that we are on the same page from the start.

How much do you charge for a logo?

Very honestly, a final logo can be the most difficult decision a company will ever face. SilenceKillsDesign helps make this decision easier by providing a funnel-flow design process. We start with a few of your early ideas, then refine and re-refine until you are satisfied. Our logo questionnaire is very helpful in providing you the most accurate pricing estimate. But, to give you a ballpark on what to expect, logos usually run from $300–$600.

Can you produce a style guide other designers to follow?

Yes, we actually recommend creating a branding guideline so that your employees and future designers understand the importance of your brand. This allows other designers and printers a reference to maintain consistent branding for your company. The guideline will demonstrate proper uses of logo, typefaces, colors and placement of elements. It also illustrates professionalism within your company and ensures that your marketing efforts do not look like a DIY project.

How important is a color palette?

The colors of your company are almost as important as the name and the logo of your company. Colors drive consumers’ psychological decisions and can greatly influence the trust that your customers have in you. Furthermore, a set color palette is necessary in replicating marketing materials and web design elements. If you aren’t completely certain if your colors are going to do the trick, check out these great resources.
